PLEASE READ THIS. THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT. Up to today, I have put three hundred and eleven videos up here on YouTube, and they have been viewed nearly two million times, according to my account information on my home page. Two million hits is, I feel, a pretty amazing achievement for the music that I love. Well basically, if my hundreds of long long hours putting up free videos for you to watch, have brought you any form of enjoyment or satisfaction at all, then PLEASE PLEASE, I ask you, no I BEG you to do just one thing in return. PLEASE support the "Yesterday And Tomorrow" album, and show me that you care about this music. I have put my heart and soul, and thirty three years of my career into this album, and we're flying blind, doing it ourselves and without a distributor. Unless people take the trouble to go to our website, which at the moment has a direct link to the album on E-Bay, or unless people go onto amazon.co.uk and search for the album, they are simply not going to find it in their local shop. I put a huge amount of loving care into these videos on YouTube, and nearly two million hits prove it's not in vain. Surely you can spend just fifteen pounds of your money and buy it, just to show me I am not wasting my time. PLEASE do this for me, PLEASE. It's painful and heartwrenching to see it sell so little, mainly because it's not easily available. So PLEASE show me your support, and I shall continue to do my bit to bring you this music. I ask you not to ignore this plea - I need to see a sign that people care. I would hate to be so disheartened that I remove all my 311 videos from here. So just this once, all I ask of you is to do your bit, and please buy this one CD.
I have waited a long time to be able to make a video of this record, one of my all time favourites of my work. I first worked with Venicia Wilson when we did a group called All Points Bulletin, with her then boyfriend, Steve Brookstein. We then tried her and Steve together on a version of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough". That led to me cutting this record, "This Time I'm Loving You", in 2000, which truly became a floorfilling Northern Soul monster, until people realised that it, like the Four Vandals, was not thirty years old. Consequently, no matter how good Venicia's next record was, the purists had already poisoned it. So "Further Down The Road" went unnoticed. One day that little gem will get appreciated for what it is - just as Sidney Barnes "Standing On Solid Ground" was scorned when new but discovered six years later. Venica Wilson was really Kate Jackson, former girlfriend of Steve Brookstein, and in my opinion, one of the greatest girl singers in the UK. She can sing rings around Mariah and Christina, and I have nothing but boundless admiration for her talent and her beauty. One day she will really get discovered, and so, hopefully, will that record. For my new album, "Yesterday And Tomorrow", we cut the classic Barbara Pennington song, "I Can't Erase The Thoughts Of You", and at the same time, after eight years, I managed to persuade her to film a performance of this utterly wonderful song, which simply gives me chills of nerve tingling amazement.
I ordered the Reaching for the Very Best CD from Play.com nearly 2 months ago but it seems to be out of stock

@dixieshaz - It is deleted now, but I think amazon still have it.
This is why I urge people to support them when they come out. If they don't sell well, and there's only 1000 ever made, then they will indeed become impossible to find.

Sheer brilliance!! I really like this, even though I usually listen to hardcore and punk music.
I couldn´t find her cd on amazon, is it out of stock?

All her stuff is on a new very cheap CD called "Reaching For The Very Best". Type that in on the search box on Amazon uk and you will easily find it. It's a 3 CD set for less than ten pounds.

But you've missed the point, Phil. I only only only post videos of proper performances. When I see how many people just post up songs with a just a still pic, I feel it betrays the whole purpose of YouTube. Evey video I post up is legally owned by me and is a proper artist singing. And that will never change.
