Super unissued track by Billy Butler. This take features the Chanters in a subdued vocal arrangement. This song was given to Otis Leavill for release on Blue Rock in '65, with Billy singing along and playing guitar. Pookie likes this one done a year earlier, with the wonderful strings, no doubt the work of Riley Hampton. I just love these Chicago Ballads, and for the life of me, don't understand this one never reaching even a B side. Just a superb piece of Chicago style Soul. Billy Butler has written so many winners, I'm suprised there's never been an album or CD of the hits he's composed. Oh well, such is the fairness, or lack thereof, of the music business. At a time when 'Henry The Eighth I Am' makes top 10, Pookie doesn't get it. Billy's slow jams, like this, 'Love Grows Bitter, 'Careless Heart' are just sublime. A terribly underrated artist!! From Pookie's 'Why the Hell didn't they release This' list. Enjoy.
To be or not to be is the question-- This video and music is absolutely beautiful

While I like this song there is a problem . It cuts off after the first minute. Do you have Otis Leavill's version? I think he does it even better!
