Okay! This is my first official foray into the world of vlogging. As stated in the video, this is "fieldwork" for me, as I'm interested in how we represent ourselves to the rest of the world and in the networks and connections we make online via vlogging.

Some things to address: first, I have a crappy crappy camera and some equally crappy video editing software. Thus do I apologize for the fact that my microphone blows and also for the fact that my zooming in and out makes a weird noise. In other words, I am aware of the sound issues.

Second, because I am new to this and still a little weird about "putting myself out there," I am monitoring comments for trolls. Stupid immature comments will be removed without hesitation.

Third, and relatedly, don't bother telling me how fat I am.

Fourth and finally, sorry if this first vid is, well, a bit dull. The move to go from thinking about vlogging to ACTUALLY vlogging was rather spontaneous. It totally hit me to start filming while in the car. So there.
