Another "Not the Space Ritual Tapes" clip. Yeah, I thought I'd join in, and create a Hawkwind pop vid!

The audio is from Birmingham (Kinetic Playground) 6 Dec 1971, lifted from the 32-minute Born to Go jam.

The visuals are the Dunstable footage used on TOTP for Silver Machine; Hubble telescope pix; and some WMP visualizations captured using FRAPS.

  • good, but the sound is bad

  • @MishaMiou -yes, bad sound... I chose it deliberately, so that it would match the bad vid, lol. That bootleg feel, you know... It's Birmingham 6 Dec 1971, if anyone wants to DL the torrent from somewhere.

  • hey hawklord do you know calvert real birth date?

i dont know if it is 9 march 1945 or 9 april 1944...

anyway , i hear the cambridge gig 1972 on youtube

really amazing gig. i dont know why it is so criticised.....

  • Who the fuck could "dislike" this band? Ugh...

  • WHERE CAN I GET THE COMPLETE GIG FROM PLEEEEEEEEEASE?????????

  • @HawklordPXR5 I'm just going to rip this off you tube if you don't mind. Cz I like the vid as well. I love Hawkwind from this time, most of the recordings I hear are dodgy sound but I don't feel that detracts in any way especially with the live stuff. It just evokes memories of dodgy sound systems of the early 70s and it still retains that live feel and vibe. Excellent upload I haven't heard this before

  • 6 people are apparently not born at all...

  • see you at pilton 2011

  • In my long life, I've seen every major rock performer or group several times. (Except Hendrix; I never saw Hendrix.) In my sober judgment, the finest show I ever saw was Hawkwind of about 1972. They had the best sound, the best material ("You Are Under Sonic Attack") and the best display. (Stacia! I'm still saving myself for you!)

Unfortunately, they were never adequately recorded either in audio, much less video.

Alas, the same is true of the Blue Oyster Cult a year later or the MC5 before.

  • stacia's tits are THE best !
