Chilling scene. There's simply no better psycho than Gary Oldman. If anything he's a bit underappreciated.

Despite his drug use, you see that Stansfield is actually quite canny. He could tell Mathilda was following him, practically right away. He heard her when she said "Special Delivery" to the desk guard. He went into the bathroom and shut the door of the last stall, and then hid behind the door. The smarter the villains are, the more terrifying, because you know that they'll be one move up on you.
