This Liverpool band were originally called the KUBAS, but when they wanted to try and get into the US market their management thought that their name was too much like CUBA, and all of it's implications for our American cousins, So they changed it to the Koobas which was near enough to Kubas but sufficiently distant from Cuba!!

The Koobas album is excellent if you can find it. Royston rose and The Circus are fantastic and I also think they did the best version of "First Cut is the Deepest".

how great to see such an obscure band like the Koobas...it looks like they at least just played a song before the ones showed here...could it be their 1st single I LOVE HER? I hope tosee that one someday!its Bside was Somewhere in The night, the second song here...
