  • how many bottoms were you pulling?

  • Same plow I use behind the A --2 14" bottoms

  • quite small for a D:p

I think it would pull 3 with ease

  • gov. needs an overhaul as does the engine so I don't push it hard.

  • Love your '29 D b1cow it sounds really good!! I have a '36 on full steel that I bought off my cousin last fall. I am trying to track down a '29 D to go along with my '29 GP. Two-Cylinders For Life........

  • Hi, '28s & '29s are fairly common as they built a bunch of them. I've always wanted a GP or an open fanshaft A. The throttle on my D will not hold the gov. open as it should to pull. Send me a picture of your tractors! Lewie

  • @AultmanTaylor they pull 3 14's pretty well

  • @ziggythezigzagger Fucking fail, Lmfao fail fail fail fail fail fail fail FAIL

  • @qpwillie I agree!!! Today's John Deeres are EXTREMELY LOUSY tractors compared to those Good Ol' "Johnny Poppers"!!! IMO, I honestly think that Deere should've stuck to their guns and kept building the twin cylinder Johnny Poppers!! So WHAT if they were old-fashioned, archaic & outdated by the late '50s? They still got the job done!!! Today's Deeres are a lot like Cadillac Cinarrons which were Chevy Cavaliers with Cadillac badges on them!!! They're NOT real!!! PHONY!!!!

  • @qpwillie Coreection, when they stopped being pulled by horses they stopped being realy John Deeres

  • That brings back a lot of memories. In my book, when they quit popping, they quit being real John Deeres. LOL

  • this looks hard to drive and you can't see

  • Gotta love this. I spent some hours on one of these 50 odd years ago. The one

Dad had would sometimes go into reverse by itself if one of the steel lugs hit a

rock just wrong. Then it was a mad grab for the clutch cause you knew that plow

lift handle would be comin' for you. Ahh, the good old days. This was probably

the start of my hearing loss.

  • What does that mean?

  • Sounds so familiar. It brings back alot of memories of my childhood!
