@dpaulinaustin I'll just agree with "nevervne" since I was searching for words but couldn't quite come up with them. Hey! I'll repeat them, too..."You sound like some 70 year old regulation nazi who doesn't have enough airmanship to have fun in an airplane." I'm an incident, accident-free commercial pilot, A&P, with lots of hours & experience. In IFR & airspace I fly by the regs, in Botswana, out of airspace & harm's way, I'm a jackass who has fun with airplanes safely & responsibly!

Ah yes, this calls up some memories I have of Botswana and, specifically, of some of the jackass 20-something British and Aussie "pilots" whose "flying skills" I saw close up while on safari in Botswana. Unfortunately for their passengers, the swagger of these young and irresponsible pilots did not equal their piloting skills and judgment. Amazing that SOME companies let them get away with this -- low-flying, hot-dog maneuvers, undisciplined airmanship.
