The chords add a BEAUTIFUL contrast to the melody of this song. The fact that it's "only a few chords" simply makes it easier to play. In no way whatsoever does simplicity effect the outcome of the video. If you were listening to this with your eyes closed, you'd love it. Dominkious, fuck off.
