I was born in '73, Parcel of Rouges (and Under The Salt) were the two primary albums I remember from my parents collection. I now listen to "folk metal", but it is still Steeleye that I think of as my baseline.

If you have never smelt the heather and watched the sun rise, if you have never experienced love with no dimension... write on...

@zapkvr haha what an idiot you are LIMEY!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
@atfatw And you are an idiot. I agree Maddy Prior's work with June Tabor was better than this but Parcel of rogues is a brilliant thematic work. Every track is a work of high art.

I hear this vocal harmonies and my eyes are filled with tears. When I was 11 I heard Steeleye Span the first time and I loved it. I wanted to become a musician and touch the souls with my voice and my music. - I am a musician since 29 years. Today I received an order for one of our children CDs with a wonderful coment: "I am happy that my grandson will grow up with your music.."
Thanx to Steeleye Span, to Joan Baez, to Ougenweide and ever and ever thanx to J.S.Bach. You showed me my way.
