Because Anna's dad loves durian so much, and because of various travel shows we've seen, Ian wanted to give durian a try. The perfect opportunity came up in Singapore, as there was a popular durian stand a few blocks away from our apartment. Here, Ian takes his first bites and "Gary Vaynerchuck"s the experience.

  • Try looking around Chinatown. They freeze them to get them over here (can't get them to grow anywhere but SE Asia), so you miss out on the full smell experience, but it's still durian!

  • durian is the best-taste fruite ever!!

  • Only Asians would eat this ... I mean who else eats stinky tofu, 1000 year old egg... so on..

  • Durian is my favorite fruit...I crave it sometimes so much in canada that i often buy the whole fruit frozen and finish it in one tasting...

  • combine onion+garlic=idk! But never be equal to a durian ok? It's heaven!!

  • @combatantlife hahaha... so right

  • it tastes nothing like onions

  • Wow, you are handsome. Anyway durian is aquired taste - takes time to get used to it. It comes in different taste and colour. The yellow ones you are eating is sweet, the whitish ones are bitter. I love the bitter ones. Thai durians are harder and not so fragrant but they are huge, Thais like to eat them not so ripe.

  • the guy from Bizarre Foods can't handle Durian, what a shame

  • It really can't taste like onions because otherwise this would be called Onions instead of Durian but since you said it taste like so many other things i'll let u off T.T ..........

  • a pro durian eater dont nibble. we just put the whole clod into our mouth and spit out the seed.
