Born June 1, 1926 in Los Angeles, CA.
Marilyn became a model for Blue Book Agency in 1945. She appeared on over 300 magazine covers! Her first major movie role was in 'Ladies of the Chorus', 1949. Marilyn signed a seven-year contract with 20th Century Fox in 1950. 'Niagra', 1953, was the movie that made Marilyn Monroe a house-hold name. In 1955 Marilyn began her own production company with photographer Milton Greene called 'Marilyn Monroe Productions'. Marilyn was the first woman in Hollywood to become powerful; She was the first to be given director approval, as well as other options in her contract. Marilyn left Hollywood for a while, and ventured to Manhattan, to study acting at the renowned 'Actors Studio' in 1955. Marilyn loved to read, and read plenty during her spare time; In Marilyn's home was an extensive library. Marilyn has appeared in 30 films.
Marilyn Monroe passed away on August 5, 1962, in Brentwood, CA. She did NOT die of suicide. She accidentally took her sleeping medication twice, and her body's respiratory/pulmonary systems slowed too rapidly for her to succeed in calling for help.

These are not photos of a condemned woman! I laugh at the suicide and conspiracy myths. She inspires me to be happy in the sunshine, to go for walks on the beach, and to stand my ground.
