Rick Warren grossly misquotes the bible and other authors (from what I have read so far). He assumes that the masses of his readers are unstudied.

Nicodemus was a Jewish Pharisee and would have fully understood the Jewish context of atonement for sin within the cotext he was speaking of with Jesus- it is us who dont understand the essence of turning from sin and repentance as we left our Jewish roots behind

"Purpose-driven church" is an agenda to move Christians away from true Biblical truths as set forth by the Bible. We are living in the last days, and there will be many deceptions. Stay prayed up & for discernment.

Apparently the only people who aren't false converts are the ones Friel and McArthur have converted (how many is that, btw?). As if either of you are wholly qualified to judge the heart. That's a God thing, to put it plainly. You are my brother's in Christ and are precisely what is wrong with portions of the church today, driving away more people than you lead to a saving knowledge of Christ. I guess that's how you know who is "really" saved. You beat them up with legalism and see what sticks.

MacArthur is right on. Exactly what Scripture teaches. how could you if you are Christian and know the truth if what scriptures says, say that MacArthur was not stating what scripture says. You can't. That is not legalism- that's just a cop out many people in the American church today use so that they can continue living like the world. You pick and choose how you live and what you believe in scripture. Read your bible see what true legalism is and what true saving faith is! Then comment on Mac

@Strefanasha MacArthur didn't even get into the fact that Rick Warren was caught totally lying to his congregation about prop 8 or that he promotes occult Reiki teachers etc.

one would laern well that you do not throw around condenation the way MacARuthur does in this clip. I know from living expefrience that it is NOT conviction of sin from the Spirit.

For every life destroyed by this kind of guilt slinging God will require the lives of those who do it.

do not think that because a heresy is of the devil that its opponents are any better.

as seen here, they usually are not, and are often quite arrogant, as the 2nd speaker here shows

but the bankruptcy of us pharisees, for all our mouthing sound doctrine, is REAL. they who left us see this correctly, for all the error they embrace

I looked at the purpose given life book some years ago.

it was legalistic for all its avoidance of the things mentioned in this video.

So i threw it out. . . . . . so that was MacArthur?: he wants to terrorize and drive to despair. he would be keen to crush people under their guilt if he himself has never been crushed under his own.

this is not conviction of sin.

as i see time and time again, there is error on one hand and pharisaism on the other

John MacArthur is amazing he accuses warren that how does he know whose in the family of God as if you knew?

SO john how do you know who is in or out?
