  • on your iphone.. can't you skip track with Altec??

  • @luigi6478 no you cant.. it's the iphone's design that doesn't allow it.. can't skip tracks with any bluetooth model..

  • Since you're reviewing A2DP bluetooth headphone... have you ever tried using Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800 ?

  • no i havent, but those look interesting... thats more ideal of a design.. if you wind up trying them please let me know what you think of them..

  • The Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800 is a POS. Sony never makes good bluetooth headphones. How does the Jaybird sound with the acoustibuds on it? Does it sound better than the altecs with the acoustibuds?

  • nope. still crap.. the acoustibuds are too big for my small ears anyways

  • I ordered a pair of the IS800's recently... they have no volume controls so the a2dp sound output is at a fixed volume since you cant control a2dp volume from the iphone.. not too big a deal since the volume is at a good level for me (some complain its a bit loud, but i prefer that..) After a full charge I'm getting random disconnects from these.. Bought them on ebay so it might be a bad set that I got suckered into... otherwise theyre not so bad..

  • Keep an eye on the Budsgoblue. These could possible be the best all around bluetooth headset for the gym freak and audiophile.

  • it'd be better to keep the camera on the headphones bc when youre trying to point it at yourself its really shaky...still, 5*

  • Thanks. Really helpful..

  • @Northernkingdom I disagree, I've got some Sony DR-BT22 bluetooth headphones - they're rugged, work great with my iPhone 4 (including all controls) and the sound and battery life are great. The only thing I hate about them are they're a bit plasticky and don't sit well on my shaven head (when I say shaven, I mean bald ;)

  • do the altec lansing back beats work on the ipodtouch with out the adapter?

  • What about the Sony Ericssion (OEM) HBH-IS800 Bluetooth Stereo Headset

  • Don't buy the Altec Lansings!! They are shit!! Won't even fit in the ear properly.

There are no good bluetooth headphones on the market atm, the best ones I had were the Sony DR-BT21G but there must be some sort of a shortage or something because few places sell them now, and the ones that do, sell them for A LOT of money, probably because of a lack of competion as companies don't feel the need to reduce the price as there isn't any1 selling them!!

  • @Northernkingdom Thanks for the heads up, just saw a video they look really cool, by the way they are Jaybirds.

  • THATS HOT !

  • I know the jaybird sit very well if they fit your ears and most importantly wont move... but do the altecs? I need to be able to do everything at the gym without them moving at all... ie sit ups, skipping, push ups & chin ups... once they start to move im gonna start getting annoyed to shit and if that means the sound isnt just as good as the altecs then so be it but if the altecs dont move when i do all that stuff then ill take them over the jaybirds for sure.
