On the left "made in China" vs on the right "made in Thailand".

The difference is great if you listen in real life. Its hard to get it on the video. But for the record.. Made in China is a lot louder. So the winner is THAILAND!

  • Not to comment on the wind tunnel, who cares. Remember how people choose to fix their xbox, mass amounts of heat. Anyways this comparison can have many variables most don't think about. Because of how inconsistent Microsoft's thermal paste job is one could be heating up more than the other thus increasing fan speed based on heat.

  • You have a point there if the xboxes would have worked for several minutes. But these are icecold and just turned on. So im assuming the RPM are the same for both.

  • Im sorry but a microchips heat up in seconds, there is no immediate damage in this video. Im just saying without wind tunnel the xbox is in danger. The heatsinks tempreture would of increased within this video.

  • Microchip, yes. But with a heatsink there is no damage for atleast 5 minutes. With jasper console probably even for 10 minutes.

If the chips would be without a heatsink the damage woulb be instantaneous.

So no point in saying i might have damaged my xboxes :P

    One was jasper, one falcon

  • Your killing them xboxs without the wind tunnel on you know.

  • Sorry but you are wrong :P

The video is less then 2 minutes. The Heatsinks wont even warm up in that time.

    But thanks for you concerne.

I have repaired and moded xboxes longer than you think :)

  • Haha!!! My Xbox has Thailand version!!!

  • @jackinthex isnt it funny when people put there foot in there mouth not knowing what there talking about he has prob never even opened an xbox

  • @tokyodrifte1991 It doesn't really matter irregardless. They don't blow cold air on to the processor so its not REALLY cooling down the processor. Its just still over heating while pulling out enough hot air for it to stabilize and die right after the warranty expires. Welcome to the world of Xbox's

  • Sorry! But there are the same!

  • Its the same!!The first is more in left!

  • Your lucky I have a Xenon :( oh well its water cooled :P lol I think I might get a Jasper for my jtag but xenons work fine with the newer heat sinks and a extra fan blowing in air into the case.

  • Yes thanks for the video and this proves the deta fans are just plain rubbish. I had never had the sound of a jet engine before and it drove me nuts....you could hear the whine even when using headphones. Now my new whisper fans are in the whining problem is solved. Shame on you ms for sending me back a unit with these fans in

  • Yes I was sent a refurbished xenon one with these delta fans in it.

The first thing I noticed was them whining like a jet engine which i never had before. Over time it drove me nuts and i have just stripped down my console and removed them.

I have just replaced them with whisper fans. The deltas were obviously badly made and total rubbish in terms of a jet whining noise.

If i can give you all one bit of advice...dont put up with these delta fans and replace them as soon as you can

  • Jasper Falcon

  • You never know, you might be surprised by how much of a difference a good and bad thermal paste job can make. You have to realize that the heatsink starts doing it's job right away. If one xbox has to much or to little thermal paste one will heat up quicker. You would be very surprised. I mean, pull the heatsinks off, they get blistering hot right away from an ice cold state. Although the fans in this video do seem to differ greatly in sound and spin at generally equal RPMS.
