@skinnywhop87 I'm sure most space agencies would have evaluated many different designs for their rover missions. Moving around on an extra terrestrial surface is only a fraction of the story. The size, weight of payload for rocket launch and power efficiency of driving the robot around for months on end without human intervention, must all be considered in space missions. There's a few good reasons why space probes haven't used treads already.

They should use a bigger model of that to go on mars. it seems it would fair better in the wind storms because of it's low proximity to the ground. But also seems as effective as the rovers they have up there now @ getting around boulders, rocks and sandy surfaces
