mental illness is like other dieases(cancer, autism, heart problem) all started in gut. overgrown yeast, fungus, heavy metal, leaky gut.

I don't feel like we are fighting hard enough for her but my mum disagrees.

I have a sister who is mentally ill and my mum and i differ in our approaches to try and help her. I favour a more proactive , firmer method but my mum wraps her in cotton wool. Meanwhile my sister is getting worse, almost like a walking corpse. Our relationship is non-existent now and this has been going on for years. Every time i did see her my heart would break all over again and i felt like throwing myself under a bus.
