i use a canopus advc 110, it allows you to capture from your tv to your computer through firewire. you can find them at the apple store

does the video have to be HD already in its original format? or does final cut actually enhance the video so it becomes HD (e.g. 360p to 720p)?

@cstreitercow I believe if you go to the window>layout>standard it'll bring you back to the default settings for tools/windows.

when i first got Final Cut Express i accidentally "X"ed out of the tools bar (where the razor and etc. are) how do i get it back??
