  • Thank you for posting this amazing talk show segment GYMANGELS! It's disturbing, and so sad at once.

  • my pleasure!

  • wasn't Julissa Gomez coached by Al Fong? He was also the coach of Christy Henrich. That man should not be coaching anyone. He takes no responsibility for the powerful position he holds in their lives...and if you ask him about these girls he says with a smirk "I had nothing to do with their deaths..." He absolutely did and he doesn't appear to be even remotely sorry. Pig

  • Um, did Oprah totally cut off Gomez' mom? Ug. Oprah irritates me.

  • @CampbellScot fyi, bela karolyi coached julissa gomez and christy henrich

  • @tannalv, what do you mean, "don't slip"? She sure as hell didn't do it on purpose. Why would someone make that kind of mistake ON PURPOSE? and just because YOU haven't heard of someone legendary doesn't make them unlegendary. Think about what you are saying before you look like a total idiot.

  • @BoraBoraGirl2001 Here's a pro-tip for you: don't slip!

Yelena Mukhina? I've never heard of her, so she can't have been that legendary.

  • @tannalv And for the record, many LEGENDARY gymnasts, including former World champion Yelena Mukhina, have made an uncharacteristic error that resulted in serious injury or death. Anything can happen, REGARDLESS of how well-trained an athlete is. They are not robots.

  • @tannalv Must be nice to be perfect. Maybe you can give us all some tips???

  • @akawhippy The vault was changed after the 2000 olympics when it was set at the wrong height. So many gymnasts crashed into it and they created a vaulting table so gymnasts have more room to push off of it.Had it not been for that controversy they probably would have not changed it.

  • No wonder on why the vault apparatus was changed: from narrow and unstable to padded and wider. And its amazing on why for so many years experts didn't realized the dangers of the vault before it was changed until these accidents occurred.

  • the way oprah says yurchenko XD but this is so sad

  • @tannalv You try doing that?
