Unofficially it IS called the MK1, due to the updated version being called the MK2.
Think about this, when you go shopping for one of these, you're gonna end up asking which version it is. You know you're not going to want MK1s! (unless someone is giving them to you for dirt cheap!)

@djpolobear Also the cdj1000 mk1`s dont read mp3 cd`s.....had to find that out the hard way.

There is actually no MK1 for CDJ 1000
it can be MK2 or MK3 only !

what's the difference between cdj 1000 mk1 and cdj 1000 mk3 ?

@MrArthiom When looping on the mk1's,u have to wait 3 sec's before u can scratch.Otherwise it will stop playing.Mk2 & mk3 where updated because of this.
