Can I tell you guys something, though? If every White, Hispanic, Asian, Middle Eastern and Black student in a school us using the word, it's okay, but a White teacher uses the term and he's a racist? Makes sense.

But really, the "knee-jerk" reaction to all this is that the word is just silly to use in normal conversation. I really feel that others should cut down on the use of the word, because with all it's history, I feel it's inappropriate, more-so, as an every day "term of endearment".

it's the whole thing over who can actually say it and who can't. I accidently started this thing when I asked a question which didn't seem like a big deal at the time. i just asked if it was ok if Drake (the rapper) uses the N word in his rhymes. i didn't expect that many people to answer so i had to delete it & might have delete this too.

I was like wow when I read that on the internet. I know teachers do messed up stuff but that was the one thing I never expected to happen. as for the boondocks version of the situation, its funny b/c I've never not heard riley use the n word.

That's exactly what I was thinking! When they use the term enough times it just becomes an everyday thing and you don't really notice you said it. So his classmates probably didn't even realize he said it.

I'm waiting for the day when the terms 'fag' and 'nigga' become ridiculed so much and used so often, that they just become everyday forms of address. Can you imagine?
