This is recorded in the Wemyss MS, one of oldest Scottish Lute MS witten by Lady Margaret Wemyss during 1643-48. It is said that Rory Dall O'Cathain, very famous Irish harper in 17c, composes this tune during his travel in Scotland (actually, he spent most of his life in Scotland).
And another version of this tune, named "Da mihi manum" in 18c Neal's MS, is much more populer in present days, even at Irish/Scottish Pub session. The tune is also called "Give me your hand".
However, I suppose this old Wemyss version should be more like original.
