I was involved with the Libertarian Party of Georgia in 2002 when they scuttled Bob Barr's chances for re-election to congress. The fact that he is now their nominee for president reflects less of a change in Barr than it does in the so-called "Party of Principle". No wonder true libertarians like Ron Paul won't touch the organization with a ten foot pole.

  • I think Barr has changed. And if in theory he becomes president, the Libertarian Party will hold him to standards

  • Since when do parties control presidents?

  • In the sidewalk smoking area outside the Sheraton bar the night he was nominated Barr did not flinch from a barrage from the likes of Ernie Hancock and Berry Hess . I said I was reassured to see him smoking a cigar . He replied one of his first acts would be to lift the embargo on Cuba . I didn't vote for him on any round but I think he's come a long way and is surrounded by many solid libertarians . I will vote for him rather than write in Paul .

  • to each his own

    (I'll be writing in Paul)

  • Bob Barr is a slimy subhuman piece of crumbly excrement. I used to consider myself a Libertarian, but to my astonishment the geniuses of the party nominated Bob Barr. Out of 300,000,000 people in this country they couldn't do any better than that. When I called the party apparatchicks to complain, they lied and said he had changed. I think they were smoking a big hooter before their convention.

  • You should really research Barr some more. He has spent his own money for years trying to correct his mistakes. He is not the man you saw him as. Its like he actually woke up!

bringing religion into what???? he is not be allowed to have his own personal opinion. don't be so silly! we all have are own personal beliefs, about this and that. whether they exist in our mind because of a religious belief, or any other influence or philosophy, what does it matter?? who the hell cares if he believes we are created in God's imagine?? the important thing is that ( unlike barr) he has always loyally stood by dr. paul and stood against big government.

  • wogsland, that hand symbol on your shirt has connections to Luciferianism. In fact, many progressives use that hand gesture. It is amazing how much propoganda is out there isn't it?

  • True Libertarians need to infiltrate the corrupt 2 party system like Ron Paul, Rand Paul, and Peter Schiff are doing. A third party will never have enough time to win a major election and America's time is running very low. Conservatives in the past were anti-war, so we need to bring neocon supports back to those old school principles.

  • Bob Barr made mistakes, most obvious the Liberty Act, but the man has made mistackes and has said himself he has done so. I fully understand where you come from here however I feel people can change. The best thing for the Libertarian party would be if Ron Paul would have run after not getting the Rep nominee.

Georgia Libertarian candidate for Gov. 2010 John Monds is a straight forward guy and I think youll have trouble arguing with him. So vote John Monds

  • Can people change their minds?

    Yes.

    Did Bob Barr?

Not likely. I was not under that impression before the election, even though he seems to be pushing some libertarian ideas even as of last check after the election...

  • Not on all the social conservative and miliaristic issues Barr heavily supported. I mean an issue or area or two, yes. But not a whole host or areas. He's just sucking their d&CK b/c he lost.

  • Way too long to make a horrible point. Hillary Clinton campaigned against civil rights for African Americans in the 60s but claims she changed her mind after seeing MLK speak. Is that too impossible as you say here in this video? Is our Secretary of State a racist because it's impossible to educate yourself and have a change of heart and/or mind?

  • Dude this is another great vlog by you. I think you should see the documentary America's Drug War the last white hope. The title is sketchy, but it sheds light on the massive spending in the drug war. What a waste. So much waste in the federal government it sucks.

  • I've actually changed my mind since I posted my original comment I do think the LP is going to die and should.
