@mandolinroad single coils with no grounding wire into an amp that probably needs a cap job plugged into a socket sharing a wire with an array of dimmer lights just about does it.

Your set up shouldn't hum on the clean channel its probably your power. The power is polluted with the energy waves of the lights and other things your running on that circuit. Just buy a power scrubber it will help if you don't want to use the noise gate for the clean tones! :)

The hum that you were getting on the distortion sounds almost exactly like the one I'VE been getting. What did you set the threshold to?

@jimmyjazz82391 around 10 O'Clock on the threshold knob.

So what exactly does the "threshold" knob do?
SidewalkSamba 4 months ago
@SidewalkSamba that's the volume level at which the elimination of noise starts kicking in. For instance, set the threshold to the max an it will kill all sound. To the min, it's like it's not even on at any level.

i've bought it ! but if the pedal is on .. my clean signal is disturbated... is too low ... someone can tell me why?
SIMONEMESSINA 5 months ago
@SIMONEMESSINA if you set your threshold too high, it can decimate even the quieter notes you play clean.
