(10/18/11) MOUNTAIN LAKES - The Morris County Prosecutor's Office has released audio of the 911 calls placed moments after they say a man shot and killed a co-worker at their Mountain Lakes office last week.
Morris County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi says the alleged gunman, 39-year-old Leonardo Parera, called 911 at around 4:45 p.m. and told dispatchers he would "escalate" the situation if anyone approached him. Responding officers soon found Parera in his car at the complex.
As officers approached, police say Parera started shooting at them and was soon killed.
