  • Neal I'm a big fan keep up the good work spread the QDMA word, the hunting life style, the love of the outdoors. Hope to see yall back on the Poorboys show, more hunting less religion/ hunting is part of our religion.

  • The reason for young buck dispersal is to ensure that inbreeding does not happen/ has a smaller chance off happening. studies of 50 botton bucks showed a dispersal from no where to 50 miles away. I knew about the studies that say that the buck fawns will most likely stay around but that is for the 8-18 months of age range and still a small majority will stay. Botton bucks under 5 months of age have a much higher chance of diying without a mother then with. I know its late season it should befine

  • Continuation - The farm that I was hunting has a strong doe herd; harvesting a few I believe will only strengthen the local population. Hunting is based on beliefs; we has hunters very on them, but should always focus on the big picture. I hope you continue watching our channel and invite you to post you thoughts on all of our material.

    Safe hunting!

    Neal

  • Hello collegeguy14 - My name is Neal and I'm the fellow in the video harvesting the doe. If you research QDMA practices, they highly recommend culling mature does with button buck yearlings. Studies have shown a higher chance of the orphaned buck taking up primary residence on the property.

  • Im simply asking because he said that he was following QDMA and Im just trying to call him on the fact that he may not know what he is talking about.

  • How does taking a doe with a button buck mean that you are following QDMA? I thought that QDMA asks you to take young does and leave the proven breeding deer, expecially if they are producing buck fawns. Im not against taking a doe at all but I thought that you leave the does that have a future buck on there side to make sure he makes it through the winter in the best possible shape?
