Yes, you can learn the styles and how to intonate as such, but we're not here to argue, we're here to listen to an awesome choir singing an amazing song. YOU GUYS ROCK!!! No pun intended.

@Icyveins906 There was a white singer who told a famous black conductor, "I'm just too white to sing spirituals correctly." The conductor replied, "Does that mean I'm too black to sing Mozart?"

Though music stems from cultural traditions, the correct execution of a style is not dependent on race. That said, people who grow up in the black gospel singing tradition have an advantage in interpreting this style of music that others do not have.

I love how every culture(race) has its unique sound. Good luck getting a white choir to sound so...Black (Im not being discriminatory!!!) I'm sure any experienced/cultured choir directors or singers could agree that every race has a unique voice for whatever reason. 10/10!

A couples a years ago when I was a member of my college choir we sang this piece of art in a concert and when we finished singing this song people gave us an standing ovation. It was great and it gave me goose pumps. I still remember seeing a seas of people applauding and cheering. It is one of the best moments in my life.
