The titanic museum is not allowed cameras or cell phones its illegal not they have devices that destroy ur phone if its not completely powered down. I know I was jus there.

@LightenUpMcGraw ...I'd agree that most people that love the grand architecture of such magnificent stairwell would all love to step on it, even if it's a replica...Can be easily be described as a magical time capsule architecture!

@ActorFlautista - Very interesting stuff, I may have just assumed after reading that bit that it was because people are taller today, never considered peoples width. I think it would be just grand (sorry couldn't help myself) to walk a replica of the grand staircase and step back in time to see and feel what that part of Titanic as actually like. Now you want to go to a real party? I'm such a cheese ball, Cheers!

@LightenUpMcGraw ...What you have said its absolutely true, but there's one error: TITANIC 1997 extended the staircase 18 inches to each side, not because people are taller, altitude wouldn't affect the design at all, but because people these days are broader in size, width. Making it harder for people to walk next to each other. Especially on the true size of the 1912 Grand Staircase which was actually small in longitude.
The railings on the stairs totally ruin the authenticity of the staircase. Right?
