thanks man i never get answered

There's a switch to turn it off. The octave seems really subtle, but it's nice to have.

question- is the octave always there, or can you have fuzz without it?
-
this was my first build... not difficult.. took me a couple of evenings and I'm still impressed with the sound I get... loads of sustain, and amazingly quiet when there's no signal.

if u turn dow the fuzz knob all the way down can i still activate the octave

@mrdm93 Nope... the octave is part of the fuzz circuitry. If you're looking for a true 'octave effect' you could try the Digitech whammy pedal or the 'ring thing' by EHX.

Hey, How does this compare to the Roger Mayer or Dunlop originals? (basically, Does it sound Hendrix-y?!) :-)
You can only pick so much up off internet demos :-)

@Jackamole
I can't compare them to the Dunlop or Roger Mayer versions. I personally love the sound that I get with it, perhaps closer to J Mascis than Hendrix, but that is probably my playing style. It can almost be too much fuzz at times. But I love being able to say 'I built it myself'.

@flintben
Not sure if I answered you before. but Just in case, Easy to build. Don't rush, building it is half the fun. And yeah.. the juice is worth the squeeze.. check out my second video sample of it.
