Plant A Row To End Hunger

Thank you ALL VERY MUCH for all the 'Likes', 'Comments', votes and support! I can't tell you how much I appreciate it! Unfortunately, I came in second so will not be able to implement my full idea this year as I needed the winnings to get the seeds for the 4 counties I had planned to distribute in. However, I am GRATEFUL to Colorado AARP for the $250 and will be purchasing seeds as well as tools for the homeless to garden and provide fresh veggies & herbs for the soup kitchen and food pantry in Glenwood Springs.

We have a huge problem going on in America and if people could just plant a row of food to help their neighbors, we can at least start feeding our over 6 million seniors, 17.2 million children and their parents, which now totals 50.2 million Americans. This is unacceptable. Every human being has the right to food and shelter, especially where corporations and banks are posting record profits. Plant a row. Help others. Thanks ALL! <3

Kim, this idea would work all over the country. Everyone could have some vegetables growing, even on the porch in a few containers! Fresh produce benefits EVERYONE!
