  • Tim,

....towards the end of your video, you said for "custom tailored come to us here at toshiba"...

    Hoe to reach you?

  • @racdba You cannot contact Tim directly unfortunately, but you will have the option to customize a Portege R700 directly from our website at ToshibaDirect some time in July. Stay tuned -- we're working on it. We'll post a link to it in the video description as soon as it is available.

  • @Vishalca: I ‘ll tell you the difference. We Canadians get crappier model and higher price. This is the difference. Why the original Portege line became the Tecra line in Canada with way lower performance and way higher price, because Toshiba thinks we Candians are rich brianless idiots!!!

  • mmm DVD drive is nice and good

but BluRay would be nicer. especially since prices for those drives reach a region where you can afford them. They are still kinda rare in laptops of this size

  • This brings my Portege R600 to shame :(

  • Does it have expresscard?

  • this is sick

  • I`m gonna buy a r700 s1331 .HAHAHA ok 東芝? !

  • @toshibalaptops Now I can see on the website that it can customized and offers some decent choices. Are there in super performance laptops from toshiba in pipeline..I mean something like a Lenovo W510 or HP Envy etc..

are there any plans for slimbay adapter for 2nd hard drive or Core i7 920/940XM with 16gb RAM. If it can be sqeezed inside any of your porteges, it will be great package..of course niche..

  • @Vishalca Same thing except in Canada it comes with a 3 year International Warranty.

  • Checked out R705 today and I was very impressed anyone own one and what do you think about it

  • does anyone know if i can this online other than best buy that ships to canada?
