Well said. I am amazed that people still fall for this sociopaths/psychopaths are "unwell people" bullshit. They are fucking monsters who live in human bodies and are fully aware of EVERYTHING they are doing.
The only cure for sociopathy/psychopathy is cancer.

Wow, there is just a ton of disinformation here! :) Sociopathy is not just in childhood! lol
A pscyhopath is just about the same thing as sociopath, and they do no right and wrong. PTSD is not sociopathy. Being pscyhotic, is not a sociopath. Being psychotic is losing complete touch w/reality. Socio's no exactly who they are targeting, and why they r targeting someone, for self gain in someway. Being a tough guy does not mean ur a sociopath.

empirical evidence does not have to be conducted by experts... experts are just better at describing their empirical evidence using the accepted scholarly terminology and basing their observations on the accepted theories of others like Weber... a famous sociologist, for example. That's all... so you bein' there for 8 fuckin years counts in my book brother!

@MsDezzyzRayz "Going to war just does not create a sociopath. Impossible."
I would bet it creates quite a few. Just because not everyone becomes sociopathic, doesn't mean all don't.

4% of the population are sociopaths. In the current military with continual rotation in combat tour of duties I think the percentage has to be lot higher just because people volunteer knowing they will be in a war zone. I am sure the military test people but they will never devulge the results to the general public.

@nonearthlychildren How is your solution not sociopathic in nature itself? Decades ago people felt the same way towards schizophrenics, bi-polar and etc. and today more or less there are cures and treatments. Psychopathy should be examined the same way any other mental/ personality disorder and a medical solution should be found. + if the the people who say that psychopaths are born not made are right then how could they be fully aware of what they are doing? It's the only thing they know.

@GrecoAlbo68 so you have seen alot of combat?

@MsDezzyzRayz Everyone's different. I've known people that were fine for most of their lives, and something, somehow they "were changed". People that go to prison, don't come out the same, many of them adopt a new lifestyle, that teaches to dominate, lie, manipulate, steal, and backstab to win, there's no love in prison. Some drug users fall in the same trap. Just because your dad and best friend's husband didn't go antisocial doesn't mean they all dont.

My dad went to three wars. He was not a sociopath. Your talking about learning behaviors of survival etc...that is just not the same thing. Read: Malignant Self Love.
It is extremely accurate at describing sociopath/psychopath. Again, I am sure that there are many people that have seen or lived through horrible events. If your assessment is true then why, after three wars did my dad not become a sociopath? Why after two wars did my best friends husband not become a sociopath. Your Wrong.

@Count Symphonic The true sociopath is created early in the third year of life and it is thought to be due to their parents not loving them appropriately. Either no love or to much love. That is where is begins. It does not mean that the Military cannot exacerbate a persons sociopathy. My ex never went to war and he was diagnosed as a sociopath. Going to war just does not create a sociopath. Impossible.

The military can't breed sociopaths? Yeah right, one of the contributing factors of antisocial personality disorder is environment and experience. I think if you kill enough people or watch enough of your buddies getting killed, you're going to have some mental issues down the road, not everyone is able to handle them properly. Traumatic experiences I'm quite sure can do the trick.
Sociopathy behavior is a manifestation created by the individual.
Sociopathy symptoms begin at approximately age nine and the manifestation of it can last up until age eighteen. Afterwards, during a Sociopaths life they can improve and refine their socio type behavior specialties.
No, the military cannot breed Sociopaths/Psychopaths.
The military though can give some psychopaths a bit of what they truly want and that is the ability to kill for fun without having to go to jail for it.

i agree with that analysis. I was in the USMC and I asked this question, because I noticed my violence level increased and became unpredictable to others.
