I love lineshredder's idea of a solar powered radio, very helpful. Remember, holding up in a store is BAD, holding up in a big town, BAD, taking one trusted survivor and delivering hell on them zombies while you are held up in your house casually sneaking out every day or two to get supplies. GOOD. keep some zombies in your basement (dead) you can use their blood to disguise yourself to sneak away. Zombies can only smell Dead and Humans, covering yourself up with their smell will help you.
