We Americans gave the world Johnny Thunders, and the Irish give us Shane.
Every culture has it's tragic hero. Than man is still an extremely talented poet.
But yeah....it's sad seeing him this way.

This clip gives me the same sad feeling as when I see those bleary-eyed Mexican kids in Tijuana who sniff glue to kill their hunger pains. You have to walk past em on the bridge into the city. It ain't cute or funny but it's his tragedy.
