Story of Stuff, Full Version; How Things Work, About Stuff

From its extraction through sale, use and disposal, all the stuff in our lives affects communities at home and abroad, yet most of this is hidden from view. The Story of Stuff is a 20-minute, fast-paced, fact-filled look at the underside of our production and consumption patterns. The Story of Stuff exposes the connections between a huge number of environmental and social issues, and calls us together to create a more sustainable and just world. It'll teach you something, it'll make you laugh, and it just may change the way you look at all the stuff in your life forever.

Why are so many people WHINING about someone who actually tries to create some sort of consciousness about where our "stuff" comes from. if you have a better idea then SAY IT. just mocking or criticising without any counter-argument is just a lost of time for US and yourself.

20 minutes of rhetoric with some simple "facts" and some entertaining animations, this video was obviously meant for facebook shares and bandwagon mentalities

The government IS there to take care of people who can't due to lack of opportunities, take care of themselves.Think of it like this: Three people, a tall guy, a short guy, and a middle sized guy want to watch a baseball game, but there is a fence that does not let them see it.Ideally, the government would give a small stair/table to the tall guy, a medium to the medium guy, and a tall/big one to the short guy. Pretty sure that's what she means.

@ Frank Lee, it occurs to me that's she's referring at that point to an idea, not the reality of what is.

At 2:10 she makes the fallacious and totally wrong-headed statement that 'government is there to take care of us'. This is socialist welfare state propaganda, and a total falsehood in any "free" country. Government should be limited to establishing a secure environment wherein people can take care of themselves. Nothing more, nothing less. The more government interferes with individual choice, the more people will suffer the consequences of tyranny. Her comments are immature and pathetic.

Between 17.50 & 17.55, it keeps skipping what she said every time I rewind it. More accurately, I think it's skipping 17.51-52. Can somebody tell me what she said or if they are getting the same effect?
