Yes, I know that China are now consuming more oil than the USA and causing more CO2 emissions (bad on them), but the USA is still a huge consumer of non renewable energy nonetheless.
"Sustainability is commie code for rationing." - Maybe, but we will still have to do that as our unsustainable system will eventually force us to do that. Like in the 1970s, our system was proved to be unsustainable when we had the oil crisis, which showed just how dependent we are on oil.
"If you're not worried about global warming, why worry about CO2? There's no other reason to be worried about it, which means you WERE indirectly talking about it." - No, I meant pollution of the atmosphere.
I'm not saying using you're & your correctly would make any difference to the case you're making; it'd be weak either way. But for some folks it's like fingernails on a blackboard.
Comrade Gasnugget: U.S. oil use is dropping, while your red Chinese pals are increasing theirs. They, NOT the USA, are now the biggest producer of the Co2 "greenhouse" gas you're so worried about.
You don't know what you're talking about. The USA doesn't consume anywhere near even ONE billion barrels a day. The entire WORLD doesn't consume anywhere near "billions of barrels a day or whatever it is".
Correct: You create the problems you whine about. the welfare state left, which supports resource rationing, causes population growth & extra resource use by effectively paying moms to breed, putting them on welfare & paying them more for each kid they have. They know they won't have to work a day in their lives long as they keep breeding. & you keep the borders wide open, importing people from lower resource use countries to countries where they will use more.
