Modded Overclocked Nintendo DS Lite

Trying to play Mario Kart DS on a DS Lite overclocked with GBAcelerator DS. It's pretty easy to adjust the game from crazy-fast to easy-slow with this mod; just push L, R and Select. You don't ev...

In MS-Dos and some occasional PC games have a non-controlled speed (not sure what to called it), if you play games it isn't going to slow down because of the lack of control. Using MS-Dos box put control on speed that regular MS-Dos failed to do.

Could this overheat the DS or is it like the PSP where it was meant to go this fast but was slowed to preserve battery life?

Its fake

And yes, even if you overlock it much, it will probably overheat.
They wouldnt clock it slow, if it could be much faster without problems, right?

Well, the PSP can go up to 333MHz but Sony underclocked it to 222MHz when it first came out to preserve battery life so heat isn't the only reason a portable processor would be underclocked.

Actually, it's not sped up. See, increasing the clock speeds on a Game Boy or a DS will increase the speed of the gameplay for some odd reason.

For example, I'll take the Original Game Boy for example, the clock speed is 4.194MHz. I currently have in my possession, twenty crystal oscillators, which are each of 8MHz. That's nearly double. (finding one of 8.388MHz would be very difficult)
Point is, I bought them to overclock Game Boys, as I've gotten into modding recently.
Cheers mate. :)
