  • This has to be the most spectacularly awful set design I've seen in my life. Why was everything done in a giant mirrored box when realism would have been even more powerful? Like in "And Eve Was Weak" or the other songs in the White household? I now understand why this show flopped. The score is beautiful, the cast is talented, but there was no way to overcome such strange design.

  • I seriously love this SO much!

  • @WizardofOzFan123 Just saw the revival on Tuesday. Sadly, they did not do everything right and this scene was a particular disappointment. There were many improvements to the show, but it still wasn't a great musical unfortunately.

  • I really don't like how much Carrie waves around her arms when she's using her powers. That makes it look like "magic" instead of telekinesis...a very minuscule difference, I suppose, but I think that's what makes it so powerful in both of the films. She's causing all of this destruction while standing perfectly still.

  • I find the real problem to be the shortness of this scene and the finale. I feel it would have been more powerful including the destruction of the whole town. Also, if mabye you could actually see who is getting killed. The Lazers...Just why? I just cant wait for the revival. They are going to do everything right, I just know it.

  • I don't understand why Carrie was raised on a lift. Is to give the allusion of Carrie rising off the floor?

  • This show is mesmerizing. LOL.

  • How delightfully evil. I would have LOVED to see this. Carrie is one of my favorite stories.

  • Musically, this has lots of potential. The song is powerful and portrays the right emotions. Very effective. Its really the visual that fails. The set reallly makes no sense and the special effects were used poorly. If the set looked more like a gym and there was a better visual of Carrie's power, it very well could have worked. I'm definatly for a revival.

  • Overdone, over-produced SCHLOCK!

  • @writingsketch I agree. and I understand your point. I think it was too over ambitious. It needed to tone it down a tad ae?
