This is a quick demonstration of the new Lawmate PV500 Evo digital video recorder with a BU13 digital high definition button camera plugged in to it. It is the only HD hidden button camera on the market today. It has the ability to record at 720p or 1280 x 960 at 25fps making it perfect for television producers looking to mix in to production. The .ASF files can be edited in windows movie maker easily or exported to just about any other NLE.
The PV500 is touchscreen controlled and is also supplied with a wired remote commander to start, stop recording without having to have access to the DVR.

The Lawmate PV500 has full time, day and date and individual frame number stamping. It can be fully password protected and it creates LOG files of every single action made by the user.

The BU13 button camera uses mini HDMI connections and is the world's first and currently to ONLY high definition digital hidden button camera on the market today. It comes with various button lens covers and screw type heads so it can be hidden and disguised in a variety of situations.

  • In the menu there is a low light mode. It's not quite as good as the CCD standard def camera in low light but it's not bad. We'll try and get some more footage up soon. We're getting lots of good feedback about this kit.

  • so this is like th pv500 but now it's called the pv500 Evolution and records HD?

  • @mikehedge Yes, the only thing that is the same as the old PV500 is the size of the unit. All the electronics have changed and now it has a touch screen and HD digital input.

  • @deathbyillusion just must be connected to he PV500 of course...

  • My display screen just all of a sudden stopped working on my PV-500 ! I paid a lot of money for the thing to just go out on me like that ! ! ! I have never dropped it or abused it in anyway. I'm a private investigator, so I really need it for my job ! I'm really thinking that I shouldn't go out and buy another one if it's just going to crap out on me again ! Dusty, Fort Worth, Texas

  • Can the camera be used to record by its self or does it have to be blugged into something?

  • Looks amazing. Have you tested the lowlight ability?
