I start up the briggs 5 hp after reassembly and setting valve clearance. My 4 stage exhaust pipe was added and the stock piston rings were reused to determine seal & oil consumption.

Great Forum for Briggs 5 hp info!!!!

  • nothing on the crankshaft? couldnt that cause a kickback? I have te briggs sprint 375 and im afraid to start it cuz its got nothing on the crankshaft.

  • @BritishMinecrafters I didn't really rev it that much,

but yeah you shouldn't rev it unless it has a load on the shaft.

  • @dc5000123 did it kick back?

  • @dc5000123 i know im keeping on, but 1m 13 and i wondered if a kickback hurts your hand? cuz i am now impatient, as i have waited 3 weeks for a hole to be cut in the blade and i want the darn thing to start!!

  • @BritishMinecrafters It's doesn't hurt much, just hold it loose so it will slip easier if it does.
