I was LUCKY to battle Cancer and live. If I hadn't responded to treatment and the prognosis was death, I would want to choose how and when I died, when the pain and and agony of only existing NOT living became too much. I WANT the RIGHT to choose when to call it a day....and pass on.

Why is suicide a an issue, when some one is terminally ill?

its horrible how people have to go to the extreme such as take a box of pills, smother someone to death with a pillow or any other way of escaping this world.( i dont like to use suicide in this case) It is undignified, ungraceful and a horrible way to die. They say that you have the right to live and to freedom.....but why not the right to die? thats not freedom at all then... why does the world around you, strangers get to decide whether you can choose to die or not....

Yes I also agree with having an abortion if that is YOUR CHOICE. I dont know how to debate the issues but I do know what my choices would be.
-
I agree that this should be allowed also, if you dont mind me asking are you pro abortion? Is the ay you put it "MY body, MY life and MY choice" Thats the sort of chant one might hear at a demonstration. Just curious, no need to reply if you dont want to.

I couldnt agree more. It is MY body, MY life and MY choice. When I feel my life is over I will choose euthanesia over pallative care any day.
This documentary shows the insanity of the law. People need to have the right to make decisions about how they should be allowed to die. Family members should never be put in the position this woman found herself in. Voluntary Euthanasia is one of the most important issues facing us as medical advancements keep us alive when death is the more humane option.
