This is a motion capture system prototype, which uses flexible optic-mechanics sensors (patent pending).
These sensors are very cheap and easy to construct. Connection with the computer via USB, or networked (wireless). The system is light, robust, and ergonomic.
In the video you can see about ten sensors on a glove. Each sensor measure the flexion of each join in my hand, the information is collected for the device in the white box and sent to the computer via USB. In to the computer my program checks the value reported for each sensor and shows them in a graphical window using some markers (left). At the same time the information is sent to an other program using a socket based connection. In this case the receptor is only a client programmed in Java, that shows values in a MSDOS window. This step is only to show that the system is capable of send information to a variety of software (such as MAYA, it will be showed in a future video ).
I would like to buy this but it doesn't say how.
