I took out the old-school SP-202, filled it up with random sound samples taken from YouTube (Lo-Fi 1 mode - 16bit, 7.81KHz), hooked it up with Korg Kaoss Pad 2 and here's the result. Enjoy!

  • @apewrist what do you mean its defunct? Can it still work? If I were to buy one as a beginner trying to learn about sampling, would it be worth $150?

  • @mulcahyjohn8

What I mean is that the SP-202 is a really old sampler, it was manufatured in like 1997.

Get a Roland SP-404. I'm not sure how much it costs but it's a good sampler.

  • i have just started to work on sampling,, is the 202 a good place to start or should I go straight for the 303?

  • @antiirony

SP 202 is obsolete, go for a newer sampler

  • lol..hot for words sample man??

  • Thank you very much for making this mash-up, you've inspired me to buy an SP-202 and a KP3. :)

  • @antiirony The only reason to get a 202 is because they're cheap as heck. There's much better options IMO.

  • I got a 202 just so I could sample stuff like that lol

  • Evil beats! :D

    You're welcome :)
