The boat was built for an individual and lexie bought it from him. It wasn't very stable and she added two sponsons under the outboard decks. You can see the ends of them at time 38 on this video. The engines are two 4 x 16's built by R. P Scripts in Texas. The boiler has been replaced and with a Dixon 30BPH. The orginal boiler was not insurable. The Dixon is certified. Lexie has moved to the vacinity of Leadville CO. I have a 52 x 14 sister to the Ghost with 5x20 engines under construction.

What a beautiful boat! I'd love to replicate her into a small liveaboard. She'd be a fun weekend project. Wasn't this boat build by Captain Lexie Palmore-Mac Millian?

It was indeed built by Captain Lexie! Captain Ron Gibbs purchased the boat a few years back. I think Captain Lexie moved out of state (maybe Colorado?)

This video is a great - one of those serendipitous discoveries one finds every once in a while on the internet. The music is great (if a little repititious). My wife and I (former residents of Natchez, MS and familar with steamboats) have decided we must ride this boat! Thanks for your very creative, nostalgic and enchanting video - it's done just right - Walt Disney would've loved it.
