A brief overview of the InterMaster™ Digital Film Process, a methodology I developed for restoring badly deteriorated motion picture films. This was specifically tailored to the drive-in intermission films we remade. For more info, see: http://www.screenattractions.com

  • Video would require a different approach than film. The two formats don't exhibit the same anomalies or artifacts of aging.

Most video editing software will allow you to do basic color correction and tonal balance, however.

  • What program / system could I use to remove watermarks (studio logos) from... say a cartoon?

  • Love the music in the background too.

  • I say go for Sony Vegas Pro which has free keygens, where you don't have to buy it, but that is just me.

  • Thanks for the heads up :)

  • Hey - I just saw this comment and thought I'd toss in an idea. I believe after you've digitized your old films, you might well be able to adjust color and do some clean-up work on them by using Sony Vegas Platinum Edition. There's a guy on YouTube by the name of GuerillaBill who has loads of USEFUL tutorials (unlike the ones that come with the software. SVPE runs about $100. Similar editing programs are available: Adobe Premiere Elements and there's another by Pinnacle out there.

  • Why did you change the 2?

  • Is there PC software I can buy to do this? I've currently been backing up my family's baby videos and wedding tapes to my computer and before I put them on to dvds i'd like to remaster them.
