Doubt: Are Children Molested by Pedophiles "Asking For it"?

The movie "Doubt" portrays a Priest (Phillip Seymour Hoffman) that stands accused by the Mother Superior (Meryl Streep) of the church's parochial school of molesting a young male student.

In this scene, the boy's mother makes the shocking claim that her son was seeking a homosexual relationship with an older man, and that she wasn't concerned by it. Do you sense a political agenda in the air? Is the groundwork being laid for legalizing pedophilia?

I find it atrocious and utterly blasphemous that you would compare the homosexuality of a boy to him "asking for it" it as in getting abused by a pedophile.

That's as if asking if a heterosexual boy is "asking for it" when his female teacher abuses him.

I didn't make the comparsion, the mother did. She said: "What if some of those boys want to get caught?", refering to her own son perhaps looking for a homosexual relationship with an older man.

Blasphemy only applies to offending God.

There was no mention of homosexuality, only pedophilia. Your blathering of homophobia accusations only compounds your perceived ignorance.

As you cannot grasp simple concepts you should probably avoid commenting, as it tends to make you appear dim-witted.

Every teacher, daycare worker, coach is assumed to be a pedophile.

@CommentorIbiza Thats good....I respect your beliefs. I am just pointing out behaviours that might be creating the sexual environment that we are condemning. Pedophiles are reviled in this culture, but I believe most are very ill and have been tormented by their peers. They are lost, confused, angry, frustrated, jealous......and yes dangerous. Total social condemnation....as the mind is a mirror, will create monsters. Some of these personalities seek positions of power.
