Its actually a single jig!! Its in 12/8 time and the light jig is in 6/8 time and can cause confusion because they are so similar. One way to tell the difference is that you can also dance a heavy reel step to a single jig but not to a light jig.

Its definitely a light jig. We do the light jig in my dance class all the time.

I recognize some of these steps. We do them in my Irish dance class. I'm a beginner. I started with the Niall O'Leary school of Irish Dance in January. It's so awesome and he's a great teacher.
