This creature showed up in my backyard and I'm not sure what it is. I live a couple of miles from the ocean, so I'm not sure if it's a baby otter, seal, muskrat or something else.
I called the Dept. of Natural Resources and they said that it would probably find itself back to where it came. That was in Feb. and now it's back.
Can anybody identify what it is?

Thank you. Yes, it is beautiful and the weather has been so great. I hope to get the kayak out soon ;)

Yes, the Dept. Natural resources said I could give it some sardines. Maybe he'll bring along some of his friends. I has resident ducks now too and that occasional blue heron and snowy egret.

I posted this on facebook and the majority of my friends on there thought it is an otter too. The more I filmed him, the less afraid of him I became. He actually is quite cute and very playful, playing hide 'n seek. :)

Good footage. I think it's an otter.
Don't be afraid of him though. I agree with Allen, show him some love:)
