STS-131:Discovery moves to the VAB

NASAS SHUTTLE DISCOVERY MOVES FOR STS-131 MISSION KSC (NEW)
Space shuttle Discovery was moved Tuesday, Feb. 23, from Orbiter Processing Facility-3
to the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASAs Kennedy Space Center, Fla., for its upcoming
mission to the International Space Station. The move from Discoverys hangar is referred
to as a "rollover."
Technicians in the Vehicle Assembly Building attached the lifting sling to Discovery for rotation
and hoisting, and attached the spacecraft to its external fuel tank and twin solid rocket boosters.
Discovery is targeted to launch April 5. During its 13-day mission, the crew of seven astronauts
will deliver a multi-purpose logistics module filled with science racks to be transferred
to the space stations laboratories. The STS-131 crew members are Commander Alan Poindexter,
Pilot Jim Dutton and Mission Specialists Rick Mastracchio, Clay Anderson, Dorothy Metcalf-Lindenburger,
Stephanie Wilson and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency astronaut Naoko Yamazaki.

yeah she's always been my fav orbiter!! will be so sad to see them especially her retire... oh well nothing lasts for ever I guess. My memory of her will though!
