As part of their Great Saves campaign, FA Cup sponsors E.ON are celebrating the nations unsung goalkeeping heroes and have scoured the countries parks to uncover the nations most remarkable amateur keepers and offer them a series of coaching masterclasses to help develop their skills.
The first winner is lazy Liam Dobson from Wormingford FC, Colchester, who was nominated by coach Shaun Gascoyne because he hates training, warm-ups and sometimes even coming out of the dressing room but has been an outstanding first team goalkeeper this season. A true unsung hero.
E.ON decided to give Liam an Army boot camp training session, in the hope that it might help him shake off his lethargic tendencies, and a masterclass from former Wales and Everton goalkeeping legend, Neville Southall, to improve his keeping.
